BrickBreaker Level 18 Diagram

Start the ball one click to the right, then reposition your paddle 2-3 clicks to the right to intercept the ball as it bounces off the unbreakable bricks. Strike the ball on the right half of your paddle and try to send a slightly angled shot into the right wall at about the level of the bottom-most row of unbreakable bricks. You can also start the ball off two clicks to the left, following the same principle.

This should dislodge one or more of the exposed capsules. Often, multiple capsules will be dislodged and will be falling simultaneously, so keep a close eye on which ones you intend to grab.

If you get trapped under the row of unbreakable bricks and need help getting out, read these instructions.

If you get the Gun, try to destroy three of the five low-hanging unbreakable bricks. Destroy either the left-most three bricks or the right-most three bricks; this gives you a clear channel to the top of the board. Don’t destroy the middle three bricks.

Multi is helpful when the ball is moving fast. I usually avoid it when the ball is moving slowly, because there are many capsules on this level and dislodging them all at once can be confusing.

BrickBreaker Level 17 Diagram

Start the ball one click to the right, then reposition your paddle 2-3 clicks to the right to intercept the ball as it bounces off the unbreakable bricks. Strike the ball on the right half of your paddle and try to send a slightly angled shot into the right wall at about the level of the bottom-most row of unbreakable bricks. This should send the ball bouncing along the track to where the bricks are nestled. While the ball is rattling around, position yourself under the rightmost metal brick. As with previous levels, watch the ball carefully as it drops below the last row of unbreakable bricks. Then quickly reposition yourself so that you strike the ball with the right half of your paddle. The ball may immediately fly back into the enclosure, or if the ball has scooted towards the center of the level it may bounce off the row of unbreakable bricks and require a second strike with the right half of your paddle.

If you get trapped the row of unbreakable bricks, you’ll need to Walk the Dog.

There are no capsules on this level.

BrickBreaker Level 16

Ah, the dreaded U-shaped level. Launch the ball either one click right or two clicks to the left. Wait for the ball to ricochet off the bottom of the U and then hit it again on either the right half or left half of your paddle to send it up the channel.

As with level 13, you may find yourself trapped under the row of unbreakable bricks. If so, check out these instructions.

The ball will likely escape from the U-shaped enclosure a few times while playing this level. If this happens and you see the ball descending along the wall on either side, position your paddle directly beneath the long column of unbreakable bricks on that side. Watch carefully as the ball passes beyond the bottom-most unbreakable brick. Does it scoot under the brick and head towards the center of the board? Does it ricochet off that last brick and head back towards the wall? Wait until you see where the ball is going before moving your paddle into place to intercept it. When you intercept the ball on the right side of the level, try and strike it with the right half of your paddle. The ball might ricochet off the bottom row unbreakable bricks, in which case a second strike on the right side of your paddle should send the ball back up the chute. For balls on the left side of the level, use the left half of your paddle.

The best capsule to get on this level is the Multi. If you can keep the balls in play, not only are the bricks cleared out more quickly, but the transition to a slow ball speed will happen sooner. If you get a Gun, try destroying the three unbreakable bricks in the center of the bottom row. That creates a bit more breathing room under the U, and gives you a chance to damage some bricks from the bottom up.

Start the ball two clicks to the left, which sometimes dislodges the top-left capsule.

When the ball is moving fast, just keep making contact with the ball in the center of your paddle, and send it to the top of the board using either the left or right channels. Once the ball starts moving slowly, then you can worry about clearing out the rest of the level.

When the bricks have descended on this level, the long center column of unbreakable bricks can make it difficult to move the ball from one side of the board to the other. I suggest attempting a slightly angled shot that bounces off the side wall, off the top wall, then off the top of the “arms” sticking out left/right, before hopping over the center column. This often take a few attempts. If that doesn’t work, try a sharply angled shot off the side wall, but be careful because the ball will be difficult to control.

If you grab a Gun, destroy the three lowest unbreakable bricks from the center column. This will give you the option to switch sides of the level by going under the arms instead of over the top.

BrickBreaker Level 14 Diagram

Shoot the ball from either the default position (zero clicks) or one click to the right and try to dislodge one of the two exposed capsules. Play it safe on this level, hitting the ball in the center of your paddle and avoiding sharply angled shots.

If you get the Gun, first clear out the two unbreakable bricks under the word “break” in the picture diagram, then destroy any of the remaining bricks from the bottom two rows of bricks.
